Can symbols be schedule per sheet?

Hello,

I know that Symbols can be schedule.

My question is:

Can I schedule a symbol and in that schedule show where this symbol is located per sheet?

Thank you

Welcome to the forum.

If you are referring to annotation symbols, no. You use a note-block schedule to create a list of them, but the schedule won't provide automatic information about where the symbol was located.

Hi,

I have the same sort of question. Everyone at my company uses AutoCAD but they're suppose to be transitioning to Revit, when they refer to a symbol what they actually mean is a (component) family. I am currently in autocad referencing single objects with respect to Panel/Zone Id/ Address etc and its a bit of a mare. Is there no automatic way of doing this in Revit and representing it on a schedule?

Alfredo, Thanks. I was using the note-block to populate it to a schedule. but now "The Boss" wants to see in what sheets that symbol is. Its was suppose to be a quick assignment for the revision summaries currently working on. Do you think that this could be done using Dynamo? (I don't know it but it could be done there, it might be my first tutorial)

At my firm I had the similar problem. I told them this:

Symbols are 1:1 in the real world

Detail Components are 1:1 in the Revit world (model)

after that, case close! (...nop...its going to take a bit more patience)

Referring to your question, I'm not clear in what you are asking. I'm going to give it a try:

Alfredo mention it. You can schedule symbols: by Note Block:

if you knew this already...sorry!

Good luck!
