Hello all.
A client has asked if we have the ability to render to a level similar to the attached picture, the trouble is i have no idea. I have done quick renders of my models using the in-program settings but nothing as photo realistic as the attached. Is it possible to produce something similar using high settings in the cloud? We would prefer to know if its possible before spending money on cloud credits.
Thanks!
Yes--render to Cloud can produce these results.
But--a lot of the outcome depends on your modeling, entourage, lighting/sun /shadow/settings and materials.
Thank you thats just what i needed to know, we have no problem playing around with the settings if that result is possible.

If you have the full version (not Revit LT) then you don't have to render in the cloud for high quality renders. It's a CPU-based renderer, so having a good balance between core count and speed, and available RAM, should produce good results in a reasonable time without spending money on cloud credits.
As noted going from "meh" to "wow" is a little more than getting a correct sequence of button pushes. Lighting, material and color selection, and camera placement all have an impact and are more touchy-feely than the engineering side of design work. You'll have to do a lot of test renders to get things just right, so don't do those at full size or quality until you're certain. Once done, it can take anywhere from overnight to a day (or two) to create the final product. You might shave some time off of that using the cloud rendering service, but again don't commit until everything is where you want it.
Thank you for the link and advice. I did attempt to do a Best quality render at 600 DPI last night but came in to work this morning and after 13hrs it had still only done 25%, no problem at the weekend but not ideal when you need your pc to continute work! This is the reason we contemplated using the cloud. How high is the jump in quality from desk based to cloud?
with the cloud you can send off multiple renders at the same time and have your computer available to do other things instead of waiting for a render to complete
i think the in product rendering will be slightly better since thre are more settings but thats just my opinion i use the cloud renderer more than the in product rendering
