Can Not Select All to Reference Plane

I inherited this file and need to turn off reference planes for the elevation. I turn off view template and change to none. Go into Visibility and Graphics and turn off everything I don't want. Grids, levels, reference planes. Still in the view I see ref lines and planes. I use select all, it only grabs 1. I have to manually click about 100 ref planes to remove from view. Hoping to get some insight while I hop into a meeting.

Thank you.

Maybe they aren't Ref. Planes? Did you check their Properties?

...have you tried selecting one, right-clicking on it pressing Hide in View: Category?

Their property is a reference plane. No matter how many I select and click 'hide category' it only hides the selected.

I've never had this problem or even heard of it.  Does this happen in all views or just the one?

..if just the one, it may be a corrupted view.  Try: 1. Duplicate the View. 2. Recreate the View.

maybe the Reference Planes are Pinned and Select Pinned Elements is unchecked (if Select Pinned Elements is unchecked then you'll have no warning)

You cannot Select All reference planes via the right click menu. However, you can grab them in a selection window and filter out other categories. But that doesn't explain why they show after you turned off the category. Are you sure they are reference planes and not lines?

@ToanDN They are reference planes from inside linked models. Very weird. Each one I click is labeled as a reference plane in properties.

Linked model?

VG > Revit Links tab > Display Settings = By Host View (because you already turned Ref Planes off for Host view).

or

VG > Revit Links tab > Display Settings = Custom > Annotation tab > turn off ref planes of the Link

Link??? Is the Link set to "By Linked View" or "Custom" in the View?

...if so, you need to turn them off under the Revit Link tab -- or not use "By Linked View"/"Custom"

...HA! that was a little nugget of information.
