Hi,
I am new to Revit.
I have point cloud files in RCS / RCP format with real world coordinates / GPS coordinates. I want to import these point clouds in Revit and keep the GPS coordinates in Revit and then do the 3D Modelling.
I am stuck at very first step of importing.
So far i tried importing the point cloud using Auto - Origin to Origin then the points are only visible in 3D View. I can
not even find point cloud data in Floor Plans and Elevations. For checking purpose used N - 201000m, E-101000, Z-200 and my point clouds are also in same coordinates.
Can anyone please suggest a way to import point clouds with real world coordinates into the Revit environment.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Best Regards,
Sunil Dhaka

We are mostly dealing with Civil Engineers / Surveyors and our point cloud data in always georeferenced.
that's why we want to see the point cloud in revit with same georeferenced coordinates.
Yeah, I'm still confused about what your are trying to accomplish. But that aside, you say the issue is that you cannot see the Point Cloud in Plan View, which indicates to me that the Point Cloud is not within the View Range. Set your View Range's Top, Bottom and View Depth Level to "Unlimited". See the PC now?
