Can not change view filters (Revit 2017)

Hello everyone!

Having a really frustrating issue where I can not edit an existing view filter, or save changes to a new view filter that I've made.  For example, I uncheck a box with "railings" in it and then go to click OK and I can click the button 1000 times but it will not accept the clicking and remains on screen until I hit escape.  I've also noticed that when I am attempting to click on different view filers, it will not click/select where I want it to most of the time.  This issue just began yesterday and I have not updated anything recently on my machine or on Revit itself. My revit build for reference is:

17.0.1150.0
20171027_0315(x64)
2017.2.3

Has anyone had any similar issues?

The dialog box that refuses to close? Is this what you mean? I've had that issue. No explanation though.  But, I've always been able to resolve by restarting Revit.

Yep, that's exactly it.  I tried restarting Revit and the computer itself but to no avail Smiley Indifferent

Is the view using a view template?

In this specific instance, yes.  But I also tried to sidestep this by going to View > Filters this way and editing/adding a new filter and the same problem persisted.

Not sure if I understand what your sidestep is but have you tried to access the Filters from the View Template's Filter button instead of open the view's VG directly? What about a new view without any template applied?

Apologies for the confusion. The "sidestep" was to access view filters directly via the filters button under the View tab on the top ribbon of Revit rather than in a specific view or view template.  Both of those routes have the same outcome.

New view, no View Template, no Filters?

Yep, just did that to test as well and same end result.  I've found Revit 2017 to be incredibly buggy.  We are in the process of upgrading the entire office to 2019, but given our current projects/consultants are in 2017, a fix/solution is needed for this issue.
