Can length of columns divided into parts be scheduled?

I have columns that go through the entire building, but now need to schedule them by level.

I divided all columns up into parts by Intersect by levels. For concrete ones I need volume by level which works fine, but for steel ones I need their length which I can't figure out how to get either through parts schedule/quantities or parts material takeoff.

Can this be done or do I just count how many per level and calculate it in Excel (levels are different height)?

You can divide the volume by the area of the profile section (manually entered based on your column properties). However you can just make a column from one level to the next, then copy aligned to all other levels.

Of course, dividing into parts was just easier and faster to do. Excel it is.

Of course, until you need to create analytical model / calculation and steel connection.
