HI everyone
i have been using sketchup for landscape design . its getting a bit boring for me and harder to do more complex designs and use for presentation in its vivid layout. I have enough years in acad background to move to revit. my question is.. which product woud help me right out of the gate ? Revit Suite LT
or should i use other product that is more geared to Landscape designs?
budget is an issue....
Revit can do it for sure.
In my office we are implementing it in a large scale landscape project recently and it's very helpful.
Now we can have accurate quantities without rework especially that we have for example around 150,000 m2 of shrubs.
Quicker approvals from consultants for our solution as we present it with revit 3ds and plans and sections all together showing relations of hundreds of buildings with road and pavements.
solutions quickly presented for site team.
However,it's not like magic.
You will need to read more and more about to utilize revit tools which is originally created for buildings projects to model your landscape projects.

Revit works for landscaping, especially where scheduling and documentation is concerned. You can create topology, count quantities of trees and plants, add in site furniture and other features very easily. In that respect, Revit is superior to AutoCAD. That's what our landscape team is working with.
