Can I export an .nwd file with revit

Hi, 

 

I've been asked to export a model to .nwd. I have revit 2020 not navisworks. 

From what i'm reading I would need navisworks to do this - am I correct? 

Native revit can export only .nwc?

Hi, 

 

I've been asked to export a model to .nwd. I have revit 2020 not navisworks. 

From what i'm reading I would need navisworks to do this - am I correct? 

Native revit can export only .nwc?

no. you don't need to have navisworks to export (unless you want to open in navisworks?) just go to file ? export ? NWC , thats it. thanks

another way is to export TO NWC, then download navisworks trial version for 1 month . open in navisworks and saveas as NWD file then pass it your contractor. just saying thanks
