Good day,
Using Revit 2022.
Is it possible to create a sheet in a Revit family file?
I would like to create a drawing of the family object, and it would be preferable not to place the family in a RVT project first as the client have strict file structuring guidelines.
In the family's project browser, I do see "Sheets (all)" listed as a category, but when I right-click it, the "New Sheet" option is missing.
Thank you for your help!
how about right click Sheets (All)?
Thank you for your response.
Your example shows the Project File (RVT).
Please see my screenshot in original post.
I am looking to create the sheet in the Family File (RFA).
or right click Views (All) > select browser organization > select all?
or you need to create a new title block family >
then title block
then load into your project?

no.....
As others have said, this is not possible. It's not the way Revit works. The "Sheets" name appears in the family editor, but it's just a left over from the tree structure of the project browser, as when some dialog boxes show options that are part of something else, but those options are disabled. Notice that the project browser also shows Revit Links, but you can't link Revit projects in a family. Bottom line is, if you need to create sheets, you need to do that in a project.
I f you want to create a sheet for just families then load them in a project, create Assembly for each family then you can create Assembly views and sheets easily.
