I'm trying to create an axonometric view of a room that has a fairly irregular shape, so the standard rectangular volume of the section box used to define a 3D view isn't working well. Is it possible for a section box to have an irregular shape (an "L" shape, for example) instead of a rectangular volume, similar to the way that a plan callout boundary can be sketched to have any desired shape? If so, how is this done?

You can place multiple 3d view(s) on sheet, tailor their section boxes and view crop regions to get what you want.
I Don't know if you still need this but I found this video on Youtube, he made a really smart workaround which can be used to make irregular shaped "section boxes"

Thanks for sharing this. This wasn't the kind of irregular shape I needed for the problem that inspired my question, but it could come in handy in the future.
