In ArchiCAD you can create a parameter that uses another parameter to extract information from that parameter.

Is it possible to do the same in Revit?

So for example you can have a parameter that is a piece of text that describes a Keynote "10 Facing Brick".  You can then have another prameter extract just the last word or the first digits in the sentence and then display that instead.

Nope, unfortunately Revit does not have this feature.
All kinds of string manipulation require workarounds with Dynamo or plug-ins.

Ah, thats a shame. I was hoping to avoid having to use Dynamo.

Thanks for your answer.
