I have a 5 story building with raised floor systems. Each level is placed at the top of each raised floor not below. when I click the camera icon to start a new one, the camera icon on my cursor does not show up anywhere on the 2nd-floor plan, but my level is set to number 2 and the standard offset is there. If I click where I want to show a perspective view, it will do the camera view, but it's completely distorted and at odd angles like the second photo. And I have to widen the crop region/zoom out to even see it. Initially, it just shows a blank box because it's zoomed in so close. How do i fix this? I am not moving the camera angle or anything. My 1st floor is working just fine.
Can you share the view range settings of that view and a section showing levels?
To fix try the following:
After you start camera and before you place it, cast an eye on the contextual tab.
After you place the cam ... Check the Eye Elevation and Target Elevation

What is the associated level for Level 2 floor plan view? Did you duplicate level 1 and change view range? If so, delete them and create each level floor plan view from View> new > plan view > choose levels to create.
