I have a seemingly simple question about referencing callouts to view. So I am trying to understand if there is a way to create a callout that keeps all of the filled regions from a certain view. Due to time constrains for my school project I have mostly used these filled regions instead of modeling, like the skylight. So I was hoping there was a way to keep my filled regions and detail lines or if they would have to be done again.

1. You can duplicate view with detailing, then create callout and check reference other view box, to point the callout to the new view.
2. If you draw actual view using a callout, then make a detail group from the regions, copy paste the group to the new view.
In the future, if you want to 2d elements that show in different views just like model elements, create an in-place model family and draw 2d regions, 2d lines etc in there.
Awesome! I was creating the reference wrong, as I thought I could just link it with the same view for some reason. But now this makes sense. Also I never thought about the in-place model family like you said, I will definitely be using that in the future!
Thanks for the help,
