I am trying create a schedule of formwork for column, in which I have to exclude the contacting area between columns and walls
I created 2 schedules:
- Schedule A: total area of 4 vertical faces of column
- Schedule B: total area of contacting faces between columns and walls
Now, I am wondering if there is any way so that I can subtract the total value of schedule B inside the schedule A. Or create a schedule C in which the result is equal to Schedule A - Schedule B
Any help would be much appreciated

No that will not be possible. Results of a schedule are not availble in another schedule.
The only (automated) way you could make it work is through the API. For example with Dynamo (dynamobim.org) you can pull data from schedules and put that data somewhere else. With that you could pull the data from schedule B and push it in a (new) shared parameter which should be available in schedule A.

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.
EnlInt,
I agree with you that Dynamo can handle this task, but I am afraid the workflow will become much complicated this way. But if no better choices I will try with Dynamo anyway
Revit scheduling would be more powerful if Autodesk thought of this such common issue
Thanks for your advice EnlInt
I'm pretty sure spamming the forum with advertisements is against the rules.
We also have a need for this. We are trying to calculate the embodied carbon of a building. The formula requires summation of different building elements but this cannot be done since cross-schedule computation is not possible at the moment.
