CAD Inserted in Family - Visibility

Dear All,

I have a CAD file inserted into Door family.

The problem is - when I make a cut through the door, the profile is always hidden behind the solid of door frame (made with sweep profile).

Is the a workaround to always show the imported CAD 'in front' without hiding the 3D solid geometry of the frame?

you can use the View Options within the family templates.

it will then be shown in 3D but nog in your plan views.

Select the Sweep and Edit the Visibility Graphics in your properties bar.

There you can select when it is visible and when not!

Hope it helps

Insert the DWG in a detail family, then load the detail family in the door family.
