Cad background importing with crooked lines

Hello,

I imported this CAD site plan into revit, but I keep having this issue in which the lines are are not straight. The lines look okay in autocad but in revit they are crooked. I tried aligning them to a detail line and this works, but lines in other parts of the CAD get crooked. it seems that when I import it, one area becomes crooked. Some things to note. The CAD files is a host file for several xrefs. It has all of those xrefs binded. Those crooked lines seem to only be on the xrefs. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

How far away from the Internal Origin of the Project is the CAD? More than 10 miles?

The cad is not more than 10 miles, but it does seem to be about 2 miles out. When I hover over it, the outline shows it extending that far. I can't see anything that could be causing this. It looks like I'll have to head over to the autocad forum. I'll mark you response as an answer for now.

Oh actually a quick follow. The cad file did have some line work extending far out which I did delete in autocad before linking into revit yet that outline shows as if it is still there. Do you know what this happens?
