Hi All,
I am drawing different floor plans in Revit :
- Floor plans for the kitchen supplier :the electricity cabinet is shown with a symbol (simple detail lines symbol)
- Floor plans for the client: the same electricity cabinet, has to appear with EL text instead. (They do not like to see the lines symbol)
I have to make the floor plans for the client showing an EL text instead of the lines symbol.
We have 400 electricity cabinets in the whole project, so I have to make sure not to mess up the plans that we already have for the kitchen supplier.
Can someone help me with that?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Is the symbol/text label is coming from the cabinet family?
Post the cabinet family here so we can see what you need to do.
I'm thinking Symbol on Subcategory and View Template (for Client Views) with that Subcat turned off.
The Question is, do you want to have 2 sets of dedicated Views and Sheets (one for Client and another for Suppliers) Views, with all that comes with that from templates to subcategories or View Detail?
If the answer is No...then I would say
This way you have 1 set of view and sheets ... when you want to print for the Client you go to Global Parameters and uncheck "Supplier Set" to display the EL Symbol instead of the line wires and vise versa when you want to print the suppliers set
PS: The EL in the above is generic annotation with text note or label nested into the Cabinet Family and the lines symbol is a detail item also nested into the cabinet

Create subcategories for each, create two different views, and have one subcategory visible in one view and the other visible in the other view.
