Bulk Update Family Materials

HI,

We are trying to get embodied carbon reports from our models, however in order to do this, we need our family library to contain the correct materials. The issue is alot of our families just have generic materials with no information. What is the best way to update our entire family library with the correct materials? Is there an add-in i can use or a Dynamo script?

You can attached material to object category if each individual don't have those material assign to them. This is probably your fastest way.

Alternatively you can set the material in phase override and placed the object in that specific phase. Then use the phase filter to set the material for that phase.

As for specific material for each family, you have to go through and clean them up manually.
