Building Energy analysis- Refurbishment result interpretation- insulation

Hey, guys, I'm new to REVIT so please help. I am doing refurbishment of existing buildings to improve energy efficiency. So i have to compare the effect of insulation applied to the walls vs non-insulated walls existing walls. How to interpret results in heating and cooling loads for 'before' and 'after'. I want both the energy results in the same file.

Hello @Anonymous

After you run the Analysis for the existing (without insulation);

  1. place the insulation and run the Analysis again.
  2. After you are done...From the ribbon, under Analyze >> Energy Analysis >> Results & Compare
  3. In the Dialog which Pops up for Results & Compare....Select both simulations and click compare and you will see them side by side
  4. Then you can Export that to PDF ...GBXML...etc

See screenshot below

Hi ,

I'm doing the same but I have a problem in the Revit energy analysis.

Regardless of any wall modifications such as adding insulation, I get the same energy results with the largest contribution to walls.

Would appreciate your assistance as soon as possible.
