Bug on Manage Links dialog - Revit 2025

When opening the Manage Links on Revit 2025.4.0.32 (20241202_1040(x64) for the first time the dialog shows no links.

When i close the dialog and re-open the manage links dialog again it then shows all the links.

We have both local network drive links and Autodesk Docs links, so you can replicate that on your end.

It almost seems that some developer needs to move some code to the right place. 😉

This does look like a 'bug'. Have you filed a problem report in your Autodesk Account? We will move this thread to the Revit forums for support.

I have the exact same problem since forever and it gives me a small heart attack every single time.

Now even after having that first reopening, if I link anything new, when I open the Manage Links window I don't see that new links (only the ones I had before) and have to close and open again for it to refresh and show all links correctly. 

Should I send the medical bill to Autodesk? lol

Have you solved this issue somehow yet?

And just another one...

I've closed a model and open another one, it gave me the can't find some links message, I told him to open Manage Links window and he shows me the links of the previous model that I just closed - my fist reaction is - I just open the wrong model by mistake...?!

No... Is just revit being Revit and trying to kill us one bug at a time...

Just close and open the window and you can breath again...

@Susana_Duarte_LMSI was so kind and reached out to Autodesk Support reporting this issue.
Please, allow me to apologize to everyone who had encountered this inconvenience. 

I have only found some sporadic reports about this program behavior in our system, with the cause being unclear.
Susana and myself weren't able to reproduce the issue with Revit 2025.4.3 so far. 
That indicates that the issue might have been resolved in one of the recent code changes implemented for Revit 2025 or there is an interference between certain Revit builds and other applications/addins, that causes this unexpected program behavior.

While Susana and myself will both keep an eye on this program behavior, I wanted to make the following suggestions to every Revit user encountering this issue: 

1. Make sure to keep your Revit product up-to-date, staying tuned for code improvements.
2. Should the issue occur again with Revit 2025.4.3 (or later), check the program behavior with Revit addins being deactivated. To do so, please, refer to the guidance of the article: How to disable add-Ins for Revit.
3. Should you be able to identify an addin or any other 3rd-party application, that causes this program behavior, please, reach out to the support organization of the manufacturer of that addin/ application for further help! Also: Please, don't forget to let our Revit community know your finding, by sending a response in this Forum thread!

I found, that the Revit product development team is already working on the issue you encountered regarding the Manage Links dialog.
Our team has published the following article to allow our users to follow the current status of the incident investigation:

We will keep this article up-to-date with related changes, but please, also stay tuned for related news in the Release Notes of new product releases and updates.
Until a related code improvement becomes available, refreshing the Manage Links dialog via hitting the F5 button or restarting the Manage Links dialog is the recommended workaround.
