I'm not sure What I'm doing wrong here, but when I set up my Sheet Schedule and I sort by Sheet number it's sorting as intended. 1-A101, 1-A101A, 1-A101A1, 1-A101A2, 1-A101A3, 1-A101A4, 1-A102.....
When I look at my browser organization, I have it set to Group by "Volume", then by "Sheet Order" and Sort by Sheet number Ascending. All the Sheets are assigned the same Volume and Sheet Order so they show up in the same group as intended. But the sheets are sorting 1-A101, 1-A101A1, 1-A101A2, 1-A101A3, 1-A101A4, 1-A101A.
I noticed the same thing in the Sheet selection set. So why does Revit short a sheet number differently in a Schedule than in the project browser or the sheet selection set? This doesn't make much sense to me. I'm also trying to figure out in what world, 101A1 comes before 101A.
If I add a Dash or a Decimal point (1-A101A-1) it sorts as intended, but that's not in our client standard.
So is this a bug or what?
Thanks in Advance.
Thanks for the suggestion, but that's not allowed in the client standard.
I could also use a dash or decimal point, but that's also not allowed.
But thanks for the suggestion.
There seems to be an underlaying programming error or a difference in the Logic behind it; as one would think that if it's sorting correctly in the Sheet Index Schedule, it would sort the same way everywhere else.
