Bring to front Family

I have this family that is showing behind a linked model. What I want to do is bring it to front but I dont have the option to do it. However, if  ctrl+x the family and paste in place, it does what I want. So the question is, why is this possible doing cut and paste in place but there is no native way of doing it in Revit? Here is a before and after.

Display order command only works with annotation and detail components.  I guess cut and paste in place the security device family refreshes the embedded symbol so it turns out like you wanted. But again, it is just a guess.

Can you set the link display to underlay and see if it helps?

It is the case of Draw Order with several other element types not just generic annotations. Why there is no bring to front and send to back option? that is a question you need to address directly tot he developers or look the idea up in the Ideas forum and vote it up if it is important to your workflow

My guess; they probably figured that considering the number of occurrences, and that the cut and paste in place fixes, it is non-essential and the need for a dedicated option is not urgent.
