Does someone know if REVIT 2016 allows for a breakline to ramps same as for stairs? The older versions of REVIT did not.

Thanks

breaklines for stairs exists natively in Revit

breaklines for ramps does not exist (must be written into the program)

you can use a 2D detail component (breakline) and try to use it

Were you using a masking region to mask the above part of the ramp?  What if you have any objects under the ramp such as equipment or floor finish pattern?  Would they be masked as well?

Hi,

Yes, I am using masking region.

Unfortunately that hides all that is under the ramp as you say but there is no other way around it.

Of course there are other ways around it.  Here's one:

- Override graphic of the ramp and make it 100% Transparent and with dashed outline.

- Draw a masking region to cover the lower part of the ramp so that anything below the upper part are still visible.
