Bold / Underline / Italic text styles in Keynote or Tag Labels

Hello there,

We're working in Revit 2015 and want to be able to apply bold text to specific words within keynote text. We're using the standard method of bringing the keynote values & text in through a CSV file.

As an example:

Reinforced concrete wall to structural engineers' specification. Waterproofing: Allow for minimum requirement at pile cap. Reinforced concrete wall to use SIKA watertight concrete.

Would display as:

Reinforced concrete wall to structural engineers' specification. WaterproofingAllow for minimum requirement at pile cap. Reinforced concrete wall to use SIKA watertight concrete.

HTML and other languages use tags, it's also possible in AutoCAD (%%u) and on this forum. Is it possible in Revit?

The only way to do this would be to manually use text and leaders rather than keynotes. A keynote only has one text type so the entire keynote value has to have that text style.

Thanks for the replies! From what I've been reading, this has been a requested feature for quite some years now, so will trust to the Autodesk developers to get to it when they have time. :leicht_lächelndes_Gesicht:

Still waiting almost 4 years on... @michael.coviello any chance you can get this bumped up the list of priorities? I'd imagine it's a fairly basic/simple change compared to a lot of feature requests.

Hello @Anonymous ,

I understand the frustration of not having ability to format parts of the keynote text.

In this case, I recommend you to visit the Revit Idea Station.

Here is a currently posted idea on this topic.

Keynote text notes formatting - Autodesk Community

I urge you to vote and comment on the business impact this is having as it can increase the chances of being integrated in a future version.

Is there any update on that topic?
Revit 2025 is now out and there is no feature that highlights this.
