Blue outline when using a dynamo script on columns

Hi Everybody,

I've been having an issue with applying dynamo scripts to a project.

The Dynamo-script is an adjusted version of the "Element View Generation" script that can be found online. The adjustments were made so that I could choose to add cross views and/or front and/or side views and the script only wokrs on columns. The script works fine and generates the views, the problem however is that as soon as I apply the script to a column, a blue outline appears around the column on all my views. This outline persists even if I turn off all model and annotation categories. If I print a plan the blue outline is printed as well.

No settings were changed in the view templates or overrides. The blue outline seems to be drawn independently from the column, since if I move the column the outline does not move with it put stays in its original place.

I have no idea what causes this outline and would greatly appreciate any help or insight into this problem.

I have added some screenshots of the outlines.

Best regards,

Luis

EDIT: The Solution to the problem was to turn off Revit background preview in Dynamo. I tried this solution before but it didn't change anything. After restarting the model the blue outlines were however gone. I'll leave this up in case somebody else has a similar problem.

Is it an Analytical Representation?  Does it have Properties?  Tab-Select it.

Hi Barth,

Not sure if you saw the edit where I added the solution, but it was due to the Revit Background preview setting in Dynamo being turned on. I already tried turning the setting off before posting but it didn't remove the outlines until i restarted the project (which I did after posting). So just a typical case of 'Have you tried turning it off and back on again' I'm afraid. Smiley Happy

In case you were wondering for informative reasons, the outlines were not tab-selectable and did not have any properties. Analytical categories are always turned off in our view templates for Architectural plans. I assume the outlines are meant to indicate the elements that dynamo performed the script on, although I'm not sure why the outlines remained visible after Dynamo was already turned off.

I found the same issue after I used the Modelical package RoomLocationCentering node. Thank you.
