BIM360 project file says that I must reload latest... while attempting to open it...

I somehow managed to lock a room boundary to an entity in a linked model sometime early last week. Today I attempt to open the project file and receive the message that a constraint is not valid, ok, remove it... no good. I have tried every option (delete this object, delete that object, delete all the objects associated with the error... no good.

I always end up with an error (must be addressed to continue) that says that I now own the element but my file is out of date and I must reload latest to continue.

No matter what I try the same result: Cancel is the only option at the end of it all.

Rolling the file back a week is not a viable option.

Any ideas?

BIM360 (or Construction Cloud as they're rebranding it)

Force relinquish from web browser >>> clear collaboration cash >>> In  Revit navigate to project and open through file menu (not the Startup Home screen)

Has the link been changed recently?

Haven't been able to open a BIM360 project from the open dialog box since 2019, this project is in 2022. We don't use desktop connector because it has been so buggy. And yes, There have been changes made to the linked model.

I have found that I can open the cached model as detached from central so I may have an avenue there, just means that everyone will have to attach new links if I go this route.

I wouldn't do that...your cashed model is out of date and what is causing that error. If others are able to open and work with the cloud model, all what you need to do is clear the old cash and create new with whatever means you open a new project with via Docs or Connector...Just not the preview image on the Home screen.

Thanks @RDAOU

Not sure why I was drawing a blank on this one, I've had to do it before, although for different reasons. I'll blame it on Monday and simply thank you for getting my head on straight.

I just encountered this same issue - errors upon attempting to open Revit model, once constraints are removed my file is out of date and can only cancel. To get around this issue, I opened model with all worksets closed. Model opened just fine. Once worksets are opened, received the remove constraints error again, removed them and synced the model.
