BIM Outsourcing and the going rates

So I am currently working under a company that has previously done electrical and instrumentation work for medium - large size construction jobs.

I was hired to start a BIM Consulting side of the business-- I have been trying to calculate /find any algorithms for the cost of charging for these services.

I was under the impression that BIM services alone (coordination, clash detection, etc) would be around $60 an hour. If I am in the boston market, is this a feasible amount? or am I charging too little?

I don't know what the going rates are, and need some help in trying to find that out.

Help?

In the discussion about BIM outsourcing and the current rates, it's essential to consider the quality of work alongside pricing. While some firms may offer lower rates, the expertise and experience of the team can significantly impact the project's success.

Interesting points here! If you're looking for more perspectives, check out this other thread on BIM project management strategies.
