Best way to generate beams following a reference line?

Hi there,

Just started using Revit again and im struggling to remember how to best to cut two intersecting steel beams?

One is flush with a roof object and one is on top of the wall that is flush with the roof. Attached terrible paint art as an example of what I'm trying to do (unable to share files).

Maybe I am not remembering the correct terminology as I can't seem to find out the best way here.

In advance, thank you so much for your help.

Hello @Anonymous,

Are talking about the mitered connection? If so then, select the steel beam right click on the beam ends and select edit beam/ column join and tick on the arrow showing up on the screen near the steel beam.

Apologies for my late reply. I managed to fix this, I used the "Cope" feature in revit 🙂 I am not sure what you mean by your comment, probably something I have never used 🙂

Thank you! 🙂
