Well, as much screen real estate as you can get... I've got a 24" Screen I'm happy with, but I wouldn't turn down bigger.

But without making the resolution so high that the User Interface is difficult to use... soooooo, don't bother with a 4K screen or any of that fluff.

Hi @Soytei

As suggested by @chrisplyler 24" (gives 3" on the side) or 21" screen size is fine, but depends on your use and preference.

  • You might run into display issues with a 4K resolution screen if you running Revit 2017 - see this article HERE for more information
  • Some desktop applications may appear blurred on high-DPI display - see HERE for more information
  • If you are using multiple monitors it is good practice to set all to the same dpi.

Get (3) 24": 1920 * 1080
Or (2) of the above and (1) 29": (2560*1080) in the middle

hello from Spain.

Since Revit doesnt Support more tan one monitor, my advice is get the biggest monitor you can lay over your desktop with a a very high resolution, 4K or so. In a single big monitor, you can work comfortably with revit.
I ve got 3 Benq 24" Full HD. Its a good configuration to work with 3 apps at the same time, that its a typical scenario when you are doing more tan a task at the same time  (in my case I use Revit, Cype3D for structural calculation and Arquimedes for quantity surveying), but if you want to expand Revit screen along the 3 monitors, it is a pain. Revit doesnt allow place views out of the main Revit window, you can only place out of the main window the Project browser, Properties palette and ribbon parts, but views are restricted to remain in main Revit window.

regards.

You can stretch Revit over as many screens as you want, the same as any other Windows based software.Revit and 3 screens - it works for me!Revit and 3 screens - it works for me!

In use here 2 27" Dell monitors, resolution 2560x1440 in combination with a Nvidia Quadro 4000. I use both screens with Revit stretched. On the far right, at about 1/3 screen width the Project browser and the Properties menu, on the left monitor and 2/3 of the right monitor 3 simultanious views; the plan view, a section view and/or a 3D view or another section view of the place I'm modelling.  In that way I don't have to switch views ofthen and it works perfectly.

4K monitors are overkill in my opinion. With the 2560 resolution 27" is the minimum monitorsize, bigger is always better.

I have to agree with the 27" 2560x1440. It's the perfect size and resolution for working at a desk. Grab a 3440x1440 ultrawide if you need more space.

I prefer one ultrawide or three 16:9 monitors over two. I don't like the center of the set being a gap.
