Best practice to draw details over model view.

Hi All

I have been asked to draw wall section details over the model view. in my previous job I only used drafting view for details so I would like to hear any suggestions.

They don't want to add too much details into the 3D model so I am planning to do draw annotation lines and fill regions directly on the model section view. will have to hide some lines as well.

Not sure what you are asking. Doesn't sound like a "Drafting View" though . Sounds more like a Detail or Section View if you are referencing the model.  Create one and go from there.

@alexlj

Callouts/Detail views would be more or less meaningless with adding detail components, 2D linework and/or filled/masking regions!

It is not a best practice, it is the routine/normal practice
