beams not intersecting the pillar

Hi, my beams are connected to one another, but they won't intersect the round pillar, how do I solve that?

You can disallow join for the beams, drag the end to intersect the column, then use join geometry to join beams and column manually.

Why would a beam intersect a round pillar?  Beams are placed on top of the pillars.  Lower your pillars so the Beams rest on top of the pillars and miter the beams at the corner.
