Beam system not extending beams to boundary

I have a beam system set up to produce ceiling joists spanning from wall plate to wall plate. The boundary sketched is in line with the outer edge of the wall plate, as thats where the joists extend to, in reality. You can see the boundary end in blue on the first attachment. The joists, however, don't extend to the boundary and stop as shown. I have tried extending the boundary out further but they still just stop short.

Now if I change the "elevation from level" so the beams are higher than the wall plate, they start to move further out towards the boundary. I need to raise the elevation to 150 (in this case) for beams extend to the boundary, but obviously they are not down on the wall plate as required. See the 2nd attachment.

I know there is a workaround to unpin each beam and manually extend them out but I have around 27 beams and defeats the object of the system.

Any ideas whats happening here?

Thanks Mike

you can use the 'End Join Cutback', If I understand well. if you send the screenshot from the structure ,becomes more clear.
