Why do the joists (in this case) never appear to go over the beams (which are all the same height),
They have always appeared to stop before the beam but the beam system is drawn to over the beam at perimeter?

why type of joists are you modeling? steel? wood? take a look at a section to see if there is anything wrong with the elevation of the beam system.
As for the levels, do the levels actually go thru the model? Levels have 3D extends (as well as 2D extents) and they could stop short of where the actual model is placed. Are they hidden in that view? (light bulb).
if you are using Wood/Steel beams..Select those beams and Check the Start / End Cutback

I see that there are no values in the "Cutback"
I then double checked at what level the joists were and did find that when I assured that they were on top of the beams, they started showing right.
Its just weird that they show differently on the interior beams.
I'll get the hang of it.
