Beam on floor plan 1 doesn't show on plan 2 underlay

Problem as follows:
Beam placed on floor plan 1. Floor plan 2 underlay base level "floor plan 1" and top level "floor plan 2". Underlay look down. Yet the beam doesn't show on floor 2. Can anyone explain this to me? If i place a wall on floor 1, make it unconnected with height 100 mm it shows up on floor 2 as half tone.

?Yes but I dont't want to change the view range. I want it to show up when I use the underlay function. I can see the wall on floor 1 that has the same height as the beam so why cant i see the beam?

?Ok thanks that will work but I would still like to know why the beam doesn't show up when the wall does so. Any explanation to that?

Is it a grade beam? In other words, is it below the Level?  Is the Detail Level of Level 2 set to Course?

Is the beam visible in the floor plan?

What happens if you change the underlay to look up?

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Thank you all for suggestions. I now solved it myself and it was a rather easy fix. I had put the z-justification of the beam to "top" and I didn't notice that it then was under the floor level.
