Beam doesn't appear

Hello everyone,

I drew a beam system. In a section (not exactly perpendicular to the beam system). Some beams appear but others don't. Beams all are parallel to one another. Any clue ?

Hi Toad,

Is it this parameter you're refering to ?

I unchecked it but it didn't work.

So some beams are partially obscured by the floor because they overlap?  If they don't overlap then you have something like the below image?  Would that work?

Beams do overlap with the floor above. What I would like to get is the YES picture (made with detail elements). What I get is the NO pic.

You can fix this by

  1. using Join Geometry and Switch Join order
  2. Replace the beams you have with the one which is attached (since it is oblique, Geometry need to be visible)

@halfon.raphael  See GIF Below - Use the attached Beam family

You could edit the beam family and set the 3d extrusion to be visible for all detail levels (coarse, medium, fine), reload,

then Join geometry the floor with the beams.

unfortunately I'm using Revit 2019. Can't open your file. What did you change in your file "Chevron NEW" ?

It's weird : doesn't want to open in 2019.

My beam family (which I changed to draw the X when cut) has the 3D extrusion visible for all detail levels. But Revit  still says "unable to join"
