Dear Revit Users,
I found it is inconvenient Beam/Column join doesn't work when beams have different types.
I was trying to join two typed precast concrete beams and couldn't join two beams like I wanted below.
How do you handle if you wanna do the same?
I would appreciate your any advise.
Thank you in advance,
Yuki
I tried that way, and Beam/Column join became available.
However, I could not join the two beams as I wanted.
See the left that two different types have been set as "other" and right as what I wanted to do.
Thanks!
It is a new idea to join beams for me but it doesn't work for my case.
I see. If you have two different types you need to cut them using a reference plane.

Oh, how did you cut by using reference plan? With a void?
If you mind, please give me little more instructions.
Thanks,
Yuki
Very simple: draw the reference planes where you want the cut to happen; stretch the beam to fully pass the plane; Cut geometry, select the beam, select the plane, then BAM.
