I've been downloading some bathroom families where their original colour is white but when I import them into my revit project they end up turning into black.
The material of the import isn't defined. You'll have to select it unde rthe Object Styles -> Imported Object.
Though I do advise against using dwg geometry in Revit, it really bulks up a family.
I've had plumbing fixtures go from 5Mb to <1Mb by simply removing the DWG geometry and keeping only the Revit extrusions/voids.
Can you share a file? Without that we are just guessing.

Sorry I'm not that good at revit myself, but the imported objects have a different name from the family so how will I know which one is associated to which bathroom appliance? I've included a screenshot in this post.
The Object Styles subcategories in the Imported Objects tab refer to the layers in AutoCAD.
When selecting th edwg import you can use the Query tool to find the layers of the import.
