Base railing adjustment

Hi!

I have been adjusting the railing at the stairs - I need the top flat and the bottom following the slope. For some reason the piece at the bottom is not sticking to the slope. Any ideas how to fix it?

Try moving the sketch line in plan view to be at least a small distance inside the boundary of the stairs. Most likely the sketch line is outside of the stairs.

By the way, just curious, why do you need the top of the railing to be flat, and does that meet code?
