So I've been reading lots of posts about this topic and knowing the correct way is the join method.
However what if the project has more than 100+ pieces of walls and columns?
In addition, what if the column come from link file?
Last year I saw a method is to modify the column (something like put in a void or void when loaded) but now that thread seems got remove or disappear...
Thanks.
Maybe you have seen that they have added a void to the column family. However you still would need to cut the wall with the column. So that would be as fast as joining the column.
However when you have to repeat the steps many times then it becomes interesting to write a Dynamo script to automate this process. You could find which columns intersect the wall and then have them join.
In case of linked files you could find the locations and then place a void family on that place

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.
Sounds to me like you are trying to join the walls in your Project with structural columns in a Link. If so, use the Copy/Monitor tool on the Collaborate tab to copy the Link Columns to your Project. You can then use Join Geometry tool to join the Column "copies" to your wall - or vice versa.
Note: you can match the column types when copying via Column settings in the Copy/Monitor Options.
