Automatically change user options

Hi all,

When installing Revit on a computer, you have to change multiple (user) options. Default view discipline, keyboard shortcuts, file locations for templates and user files, enable macros, etc. etc. This is something you have to do for every user (Microsoft account) on that PC and for every version of Revit. It's not the hardes thing to do, but it's a lot of work to keep things right according to our company standard. Is there a way to automatically do this when installing, and/or save these kind of actions in a file so it can be done after install? That would save me a lot of time ๐Ÿ™‚

One of the best inquiries I've seen in a while. I would really love to know myself if there is a simpler way to do this.

yes, you create a Custom Revit Deployment. More info here:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit-products/troubleshooting/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2021/...

in particular, many of the items you are asking to customize are part of the Revit.INI file, so be sure to click "customizations" at that link above, and then find "About the Revit.ini File for Installation."

Hmm, I accidentally clicked 'accept solution' but I'm not quite there yet ๐Ÿ˜‰ I checked your link, step 1 is 'prepare for the deployment'. That link doesn't work (see below), so what am I supposed to do?
