Hy guys!
I've got a problem regarding phases in Revit. When I demolish a door, Revit automatically creates a new wall. Is it possible to avoid it and leave just a void?
Thank you very much for your time.
Stefano
The best way is to create an opening family that is the same width and height as the demolished door in the second phase
Thank you very much for your quick response.
I've tried that way but it doesn't work. Revit always creates a new wall in the opening spot in the second phase. Could a void represent a valuable option?
Thanks,
Stefano
You need to join the infill element to the main wall, then you can place the opening family in it.
I have created a quick example file as an example. if you change between the phases in the view you will see that the opening is the same size, and in the same place as the door.
Create a wall rectangular opening the same size as the existing window so that when you demolish the window there is still a hole in the existing wall. See attached 2018 file.
