I uploaded a REVIT file to the AUTODESK Viewer and the measurement tool is not accurately displaying the measurements. It's reading a feet and inches measurement and giving me the feet and decimal inches as an inches measurement. How can I fix this? Is it something that needs to be changed in the REVIT file or the viewer?
This has happened to all the REVIT projects my team works on, but it has only started happening in the last two months or so.
In the Viewer it should pick up the units from the Revit model directly so you may need to look at this, however you can set the Measurement Settings manually if required in the Viewer directly using the settings icon/button.
Hi! How can I figure out which settings in the REVIT model are making the viewer not pick up the measurements correctly? I used to not have to set them manually and all of a sudden I do, so I’m not sure what changed.
In reality it should recognise the units directly from Revit so I can only assume that there is a misalignment with the collaboration from Revit and the Online Viewer?
I tried with a 2022 and 2025 model here with no issues and even changed from metric to imperial and uploaded again and they took the file units.
You can check the Viewer Settings other than that it may be just your file getting out of sync
