Autodesk Tokens for renderings

Does anyone know the conversion rate if you will for Renderings done with Revit now that they are switching to Tokens.  Cloudbased Credits were $1 per Credit and now the Tokens are $3 per Token.

If this is a one for one - my $8 rendering is now going to cost me $24.

Is this true or is there a chart that show the costs?

Just wondering,

Ken

That document doesn't list the prices for things like rendering or lighting/energy analysis...

@Ken.HeinzESP2B I've tried a couple of those things out today and it seems like they work without costing cloud credits or flex tokens.

Talking to our Autodesk rep and they too aren't exactly sure of the how the Tokens will work for Cloud Rendering.  They said they will no more once it gets closer when tokens are the only option.  You can still buy Cloud Credits right now and they will be good for a year so thats what we have done just encase Autodesk doesnt adjust the rate of the Rendering tokens versus Tokens used for "Renting" Software.

Certainly hoping our rendering projects wont go from $8 to $24 once our Cloud credits run out.

May need to seek other options for rendering.

Sincerely,

Rodeoboy

So it's March 29 and we still don't know what's going on with this flex token situation for cloud rendering?

So if I am correct we have to buy for a minimum of €1.500 of tokens instead of the €100 (more or less) of cloud credits like we did befor?? And you have to use these tokens within one year?  I use around €200/300 of cloud credits for my renderings and now have to spend €1500? that is just crazy! Does anyone know if that is correct?

I found a way to pay less - you need to use the flex token estimator and select one of the AutoCAD options. I think that offers the least amount of tokens possible to purchase.

Flex Token Estimator:
https://www.autodesk.com/benefits/flex/estimator-tool

It's a shame you cannot purchase you're own desired amount. And if you're forced to purchase more tokens than necessary it's especially unfortunate that they expire within one year... What is this, a game show?

So ridiculous...

Anyway, I purchased a bunch of flex tokens about 3 months ago, but I'm still using my remaining cloud credits, so I'm not familiar with how the transition will work. Especially when I approach the end of my cloud credit balance and need to do a rendering that requires some cloud credits and some new flex tokens to complete.

Has anyone encountered this dilemma yet?

I feel like it's going to happen to me at 2AM while I'm trying to complete a deadline, and it will infuriate me.

this doesnt work in the Netherlands.. minium of 500 tokens even with the estimator..

And what is also pretty crazy.. you used to get 100 cloud credits within the subscription (of Revit LT in my case) and now nothing.... and i guess the price of the subscription isnt going to be cheaper which makes it actually €100 more expensive..
