Autodesk Classification Manager and Revit DB Link

There is an issue with the AutoDesk Classification Manager UniClass parameter naming when using Revit DB Link to export model tables to a MS Access  data source (or exporting to Microsoft SQL and using MSAccess to link to the MSSQL tables).  Punctuation characters “.” are not allowed in field names in MS Access tables as can be demonstrated in MS Access…

The Autodesk Classification Manager Add-In uses “.” in the parameter names for UniClass…

Using Revit DB Link to export to MSSQL will create the fields with the exported data…

but MS Access is unable to link to tables containing these fields…

I have tried modifying the the underlying tables and text file...

C:\Program Files (x86)\Autodesk\Classification Manager\2018\Classification Manager Database UK.xlsx

C:\Program Files (x86)\Autodesk\Classification Manager\2018\SP_ClassificationManager.txt

...but I get an error in Revit...

I have noticed that generally with Autodesk delivered libraries (eg US Metric) and rfa files I have downloaded from http://bimobject.com the OmniClass values are pre-set in the Identity Data and the parameter names don’t contain “.”

From a programmatic perspective, using "." in parameter (field) names in problematic.

Is there a work around?

I have teh same problem.  We would like to use Classification Manager in combination with DBLink, and all the classification fields are invalid.  We get this error in the DBLink export log, and then the fields are all in the database without values.  (What good is converting the field name if you are going to ignore it after?)

" [----Warning----] Parameter changed from [Classification.OmniClass.21.Number] to [ClassificationOmniClass21Number] and it will be ignored when exporting/importing"

This happens for all classification manager fields, as they all use this format which is incompatible.
