AutoCAD Titleblock Import

Hi,

When I'm importing an AutoCAD title block to Revit, I can't edit the text/labels in the plot stamp... Is there any way to import a CAD titleblock to Revit and enable editing?

Why don't you use a Revit Titleblock in Revit and an AutoCAD Titleblock in AutoCAD?

When you import in, Revit treat CAD as an object which you won't be able to edit until you explode them. Even if you explode them, it will turn those text as dumb text. The file will inherit AutoCAD linetype, hatch and layers. So it is easier if you simply use CAD as reference and create the titleblock with Revit parameters and lines.

Reason I want to use an AutoCAD title block in Revit is because it is a company title block and we just transferred to Revit, we wanted to know whether that title block is still usable in our future projects.

So thanks for your help guys! In the end, I found the explode tool and used that and the title block is almost as good as it is in AutoCAD.

Most would make it in Revit. An import is no substitute for the native content.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.
