Autocad Import with images not showing images in Revit

Good Day,

I hope someone can help me, I am trying to import a CAD file into revit that has been drawn but also has an image loaded into it.

When i load the CAD file into revit, i can see the lines and all the detail, but there is just a red square where the image should be. The source image is saved in the same folder as both the Revit and CAD files. I am using Revit Architecture 2013 and Autocad 2013

Any help on how to get the image visible within revit would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Make sure Raster Images are on in Visibility/Graphics>Model Categories.

Also, in the Cad file, try importing the image as an OLE Object, which will embed it into the cad drawing.

Then, Link that .dwg into Revit.

Ask that on the AutoCad Forum. Not sure about Acad LT?

Worst case, if you have access to the image--you could:

-Import the Cad file into Revit.

-Insert the Image into your View and Scale/adjust it to same size as Cad location, place on top of Cad.

-Place View on Sheet.
