I have a dialog box saying "Attempted an unsupported operation ". All options are greyed out including save. Is there a way out of this?

If you need to save changes, try to close the project from the file menu. With an error preventing me from proceeding, I would be inclined not to synch with central but only save to the local when prompted.

Hi @deeRbee

A few questions to better understand what you are experiencing.

I've seen similar issues when the user attempts to change the seize in a structural connection.

1) Are you attempting to change some element properties in your drawing?

2) which version of Revit are you using, can you confirm if you've got the latest updates/ security fixes installed for your Revit version?

3) Does this occur when add-ins are disabled?

4) Is this specific to a user/ model?

Can you share journals and a data-set for diagnosis? You can extract the data-set using the collector utility at this link and send it to us for investigation.

Please see AKN article: Revit - Collecting and sending diagnostic data to Autodesk Technical Support

Looking forward to your reply update!

Regards,

Hello,

1) Are you attempting to change some element properties in your drawing? (deeRbee) Yes, i was editing a 2D group

2) which version of Revit are you using, can you confirm if you've got the latest updates/ security fixes installed for your Revit version? (deeRbee) For this project, version 2016.

3) Does this occur when add-ins are disabled? (deeRbee) If you're referring to add-ons such as BIMobect and Lumion, then these were enabled at the time

4) Is this specific to a user/ model? (deeRbee) I've had the same problem before, with another model.

Thanks for looking into this.

Hi @deeRbee

Awesome, thanks for the detail answers! Smiley Happy

Can you share a data-set as requested in the previous post? I can send you a private upload folder.

Thank you for your response @deeRbee. It looks like a known issue when editing group:

Revit stops responding after finishing a group

Please try the workarounds and see if that helps.
