Attach Top/Base Warning Revit Architect 2022

I am using Attach Top/Base command in Revit Architect 2022  and encountering the problem showing in the below screenshot.

 

Could you please have a look? Thank you.

The wall misses the roof...ie.

  1. either make the roof footprint slightly bigger 
  2. Or move the wall to the inside so that it falls under the roof

 

Make a section and look at it for more clarity

the roof footprint is still not big enough ... look at the image below. Part of the wall is outside the roof so only what is below the roof will be attached

 

If you want to continue using Attach Top:

  1. Either Align the exterior finish face of the wall with the footprint of the roof 
  2. Or make the roof slightly bigger

If the wall does not need to be all under the roof for some reason...then you can

  1. Either attach the wall to a Reference plane instead of the roof (See GIF below)
  2. Or instead of attach, edit the wall's profile to shape it to the roof

I used your second solution, made the roof slightly larger, then the walls attach the roof perfectly! Thank you!
