Attach Top/Base, wall from mass

Hello,

I have imported a roof from Rhino and created a native Revit roof from it. I've also created walls from an In-place mass, but this wall won't attach to the roof. I suspect it has something to do with the walls are created as In-place mass and there for the "attach Top/Base command doesn't work.

Any suggestions on how to attch the walls to the roof?

Thanks in advance

Your suspicion is incorrect - walls created by face of a mass do attach very obediently to roof.

Please share a file that shows the behavior.

Ok - let me rephrase your suspicion - walls created from spline-based masses do not join roofs. Walls created with rectangular / arc shaped masses behave beautifully. Walls created with spline based masses do not.

Possibly generate a mass of the required shape in Rhino, bring it in as a Mass family, and then generate walls from it?

The mass should be properly formed 3-dimensionally so that you won't need to alter the wall-by-face afterward.

Hello,

I've solved it using the masses and just cut them with one another. It's now all native Revit geometry but the model isn't very flexible and the curves aren't really as smooth as I like them the to be.

Anyway... it's a start :leicht_lächelndes_Gesicht:

Thank you for your help!
