Hey Revitiers
I have this circular ramp, half circle/spiral, which is supported by columns from below. Alll good, I modeled the ramp then placed the columns on the 0 level up 4m high each along the projected center line of the ramp then I got stuck.
How can I attach those columns to the ramp so that they get increasing height as the ramp ascends?!
Thanks in advance

Model the ramp using a swept blend...and make sure to select a category which allows columns or walls to atch to it. In this case "floor"
if you used the ramp tool..go to wireframe mode the model a new one on top of it using the wireframe to pick path, top and bottom profiles. Once done delete the old ramp.
now the columns attach and u can as well join it to the floors for a nicer detail
cheers

@JasonLLINDNER couldnt edit previous post, but realizing that swept blends can be a hassle for some when it comes to spiral ramps, here is another method Using .SAT export and then import for converting the ramp (done by tool) into an In-place floor element to which you can attach stuff and reinforce it later if you wish. Both the above and this method are applicable though.
Hope this helps...cheers
